Website operation and security
ASNasedb is operated by UCT Prague and hosted on infrastructure provided by CERIT-SC, the Masaryk University component of e-INFRA CZ. Masaryk University may process your IP address and basic request and log information as necessary to provide and secure that infrastructure. The legal basis for processing under UCT Prague's control is Article 6(1)(e) GDPR (performance of its public scientific and research tasks). Authorised UCT Prague and CERIT-SC personnel may access these data when necessary. Logs are kept only as required by applicable operational, security and legal rules and are then deleted.
BLAST queries
BLAST queries are processed on our infrastructure and are not sent to external analysis services. Query sequences are not intentionally logged, and temporary files are deleted after processing. Do not submit personal data, including identifiable human genetic or health data.
Anonymous usage statistics
Simple Analytics provides privacy-focused usage statistics without cookies, browser storage or fingerprinting. It records page views and general non-identifying usage metrics. It states that IP addresses are immediately discarded and not stored. ASNasedb does not use cookies or browser storage. On the BLAST page, our privacy-minimised Simple Analytics configuration records a page view but does not send the submitted sequence, selected BLAST parameters, results or user interactions to Simple Analytics.
Correspondence
If you contact us, UCT Prague and its email and security service providers process your message only to deliver, secure and deal with your inquiry, under Article 6(1)(e) GDPR or, for data-protection requests, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Messages are kept only as long as needed or required by applicable UCT Prague records-management or legal rules.

You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction, or object to processing where applicable, using the contacts above. You may also complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection.
